.32 S&W and .32 S&W Long are rimmed cartridges meant to be used in revolvers.Though there are target pistols that fire the .32S&W Long wadcutter.

.32 ACP(Automatic Colt Pistol) is a semi-rimmed cartridge that is meant to be used in semi-automatic pistols.Though there are some revolver that can fire it.

.32 S&W Long develops a greater chamber pressure than the .32S&W/Short on account of the fact that the cartridge case is longer and has greater powder capacity. 32 ACP develops greater chamber pressure than the .32S&W Long.So to fire .32ACP in a revolver meant for the .32S&W/Short is asking for trouble and probably a hook where your hand is.

Thanks to all for the comments on the topic. I will go for the IOF .22 or .32 Revolver rather than to purchase the Ivory Johnson revolver.

My, you`re easily pleased Jonah.........I guess everyone`s different but the ambition of wanting to ban someone seems somewhat......limited ( ? ) and rather sad.

Please tell me you`re not really interested in a ****** old Iver Johnson !
Did you know that they actually made a target model for a while ? - Now that`s REALLY funny !

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Jonah but racking up bullets just alters your status from `Gun Geek` to `Boring ole Fart`.......... You need to be a moderator to ban someone and they`re appointed not `promoted`.
If you`re really desperate to ban someone ( suffering from low self-esteem ? )you can `ban` me for a week and I`ll stand down.........and then will tell you how bad it was ( "Shocking", "Humiliating" ) ( "You`re so masterful.....big boy" )

Why don't you write one anyway Grump...we could all enjoy the humour of it and maybe use it when our post gets edited etc.

Your brief preamble itself seems so full of hysteria, it should be fun ;-).

Thank you for clearing that up you've proven that there is a guardian angel of fools. Not that I had a .32 of any sort near my paws but thanks all the same.
