Hi

I have a 12 bore Manton Gun which is working and in good condition, it is an excellent gun in terms of Accuracy and Fire Power.

Manton was a trader/ retailer, they never manufactured anything (to the best of my knowledge). Products sold under their trade name, could have been manufactured by almost anyone for them. Belgium had a thriving cottage industry manufacturing shotguns, could have been made in any of those (literally hundreds of) workshops.

It is unlikely that the gun was made in England, proof tested in Belgium and then exported to India. Almost certainly made and proof tested in Belgium.

hi. manton was a gunmaker . they had a factory in england. however, we the owner of manton and co, only used to import guns from england and sell the same in kolkata and delhi. our shop closed down permanently in 1994.
