Which english shotgun is best

What problem buy new?
If you planning shooting with this stuff, better its new shotgun!

Basic dont care price shotgun - 300 or 3000 USD or high all shotgun 12 ga shoot the same

Gun import is banned in India- except certain categories of sportsmen.
Reloading is effectively non existent.
New gun laws - 1 gun ONLY per person

New Gun law is maximum 2 weapons per person ( no restriction on qualified Sports Shooters). No need to further create confusion on that.

The gun looks fairly good to me. The address of 40 Pall Mall London was the address of WW Greener from 1933-1965. But need more pictures of the proof marks.

Both the W&S and Greener are very good guns. Parker-Hale mostly imported Spanish guns and sold them under their name. Pick and handle both guns and see how you like they handle, 28" and 32". Ultimately, in India, I would pick the gun that is in functionally best condition than the name and model.

Vikram Sir need your advice if Shotgun makers WW Greener or WJ Jeffery were of the same grade given that both weapons available are in good condition . Please do let me know. There was an article on grades of English Shotgun makers in this forum but I am not able to locate.

Both makers made guns in several grade though Greener is a better regarded maker. Unless we see the guns, difficult to comment. Do post clear photos, if possible.

If your planning to use shaktiman slugs or balls then you better get a new indian shotgun that way you can rough use it and you will save a lot of money. A new VISCO woukd be better than an old beat up english gun

Thank You Vikram Sir for the reply. I have a WJ Jefferey 30 inch barrel which is fairly decent condition and I have posted pictures earlier. Only problem is 2.5 inch chambers. I was interested in a WW Greener and Westley Richards both were in 3 inch chamber 32 inch barell with ejectors but much heavier. I was in a dilemma.

Jefferey was more a rifle maker than a shotgun maker and not in the league of the other two. Again, without looking at the guns difficult to say. The 3'' chambered guns could be wild fowling guns.
