dickson and CZ Huglu shotguns
https://dickinsonarms.com/
i read some where these are guns made by Turkish company Akus; for the money they look great value especially sxs
I think Turkish guns bring a great value for the money especially CZ Huglu and are like Spanish guns of yester years. They have really come of age now by O/U or semi auto

There are more companies out there Armsan.
Hatsan Escort.
ATA Arms.
Akus Arms.
Yildiz.
Hatsan Optima.
Sarsilmaz.

Navi, the lever and semi auto conversions are a big hit here in Oz and Akkar, Huglu etc are well known names. One bloke I know did a test of nearly 5K shells on pigs etc till the gun fell to pieces, he did some replacement and repairs and is back in business.

Actually the Turks now own webley scott and the u/o branded WS are pretty good. Circassian walnut is unreal for the cost. They’re quite a force to reckon with in the low to mid level sporting shotguns.

All the Hodgson best selling powders are Made by ADI in Australia, shopped out by the container and are best sellers, because of they’re temperature insensitive, good shelf life and consistent performance. They’re simply relabelled and in different tubs in the US. And they sell cheaper there than here!

Turkish guns price point wise are most utilitarian and affordable decent shotguns especially Huglu sxs being marketed by CZ USA and per info on shooting forum have great warranty support . I am myself been looking at CZ sharptail and other G2 sxs in 20 ga ( If I ever get a chance) because certain places for quail dove hunts in SOuth Carolina Georgia and texas they wont let you hunt with 12 gauge

Re: dickson and CZ Huglu shotguns
From all I have read, Turkish guns have been improved greatly. Many employ CNC machines and skilled labour. Of particular interest to me at the moment is the Yildiz-pro. A Perazzi copy for a fraction of the price of the original. I have read very good reviews of it. Costs much less in the UK than it costs in the US.

How can you go wrong at 1,500 GBP for this gun?

I read lot of good reviews about Yildiz O/U on various USA forums. Havent seen or handled in person ; Dickson will even custom order a shotgun for you cant beat that. I wont be surprised if Turks make parts used by Beretta etc ? Best

Re: dickson and CZ Huglu shotguns
Huglu also make some very decent guns. I did not know that they also produce a bolt action rifle. Thanks for the link.
