It is not your worry or headache to get a UIN for a Arms Licence. It is the duty of all Licencing Authorities in INDIA to generate a UIN before 01/04/2017. If you have not been alloted a UIN , it is binding upon your Licencing authority to have coplied with generating these UIN numbers before the above mentioned date.Just send a letter asking to intimate YOUR UIN number.

The date has now been extended to 1st April 2018.

This is the second extension IIRC, 1st deadline was 01/04/2016, then it was extended to 01/04/2017 and now it has been further extended to 01/04/2018.

Contact your district arms licensing branch to get your UIN number.

Go to your Arms Department in your District/Town/City, ask for the form, file up the documents and you are good to go.
