i have one dbbl, one .22 air rifle, one .177 air rifle....can i keep all these withme...i am a member of a rifle club..

Yes, Vineet it has been posted earlier in which it says two weapons insted of three........but they have made it to one weapon for a person and I belive the bill has become the law few days back from what I have read in the internet

And Alwinthomas you could keep the .177 but .22 air rifles have to be declared under rifle licence so you may have to make a choice between dbbl and the .22 air rifle

What you have posted is proposed Amendment which was initially one weapon per person. It was latter changed to two weapons per person.

What I have posted is actual bill that has been passed in both the houses of the parliament and is a law now.

how about a 1> 0.32 Pistol, 2> DBBL and 3> 0.22 Rifle - & Life Member of a Rifle Club. do we need to deposit or can keep all of them being a life member of affiliated club? Please advice.

If you are using the weapons for sports purpose then you can keep the weapons or else it has to be deposited within a 1 year period to the nearest police station or an arms dealer to delicence the weapon, not sure weather you can sell it off to somebody

I had a doubt, if a person has an antique gun with firing pins removed, will it be excluded from the licence or will it be counted as a firearm?

The safe way is to give application to your DM or ADM mentioning that as per new rules one keep two firearms of any type and third weapon a .22 rifle if one is member of any rifle club recognized by central government.

Tell him that you are member of rifle club and therefore eligible to keep third weapon .22 rifle. Then see what their reply is and act accordingly.

Merely removing firing pins doesn't deactivate a weapon. Deactivation of a weapon should be done by a government registered gunsmith in such a way that the weapon can not be converted back into a firearm.

Deactivation should be done by permanently closing the chamber through wielding or some similar procedure. After performing the deactivation, the gunsmith has to issue a certificate that he has permanently deactivated the weapon and it can not be activated again.
