I don't think so. Just do a search for grams to grains converter on the net and you should have the correct infro rapido.

Well, I weighed each one of them and this is it :
Gamo Magnum - Each pellet 0.520mg
HN Field Target - Each pellet 0.580mg
Diana diabolo - Each pellet 0.520mg

Surely you mean 0.52 & 0.58 grams (as opposed to Milligrams).... 1000 mg = 1 grams

As per the formula posted by Rusty 0.52 * 15.432 = 8.025 grains AND 0.58 * 15.432 = 8.951 grains

8.951 is very good then. It may suit a very powerful rifle like HW 77, assuming an HW 77 has a similar powerplant to HW80.

What works well with a Diana 35 category rifle might not work at all with a more powerful rifle like HW 77.

I had thought Gamo Magnum would be heavier. Their website had listed it at 8.5 grains for .177 and 16.9 for .22

If you look up one of my earlier posts then H & N link is also there to check the field target weight. I'll try to retrieve it.

Anupam had mentioned that he wanted pellets for some outdoor plinking use, on stuff like Paan Parag cans filled with sand, that is the reason I gave him some Magnums ( Gamo ) but they do not group very accurate.

As far as Diana 68 is concerned H & N Field Target skirt fits very well and slug tight into its chamber producing great groups.

The HW80/80K have a larger swept volume than the HW77/77K.

An 8.9 grain pellet should be safe to use, even with a scope mounted on top. However, I have broken the reticle on a new Bushnell Banner 4-12x40 PA using 8.6 grain H&N FTTs and am currently using 10.65 grain H&N Barracuda Match. The rifle is a HW97K Mk.1 and so far the new scope (Bushnell Trophy 3-9x40) has survived approximately 1000 shots.

Apologies - I stand corrected.

For H & N Field Target the pellet weights are :

.177 - 8.49 gr
.20 - 11.42 gr
.22 - 16.36 gr
.25 - 24.38 gr

That Diana .177 pellet is 8.18 Grains.

On my HW 80 I usually fire the H & N Hollow point, which is 12.65 grains. Maybe a heavier pellet should be used. It performed terrible with Webley Venoms.

So by what Rusty has suggested to ANupam, the H& N Field Target at 8.49 is almost 8.5, if it fits well then it may prove to be a suitable pellet in the HW 77.

I have a box of Webley Venom in .177 as well. If anybody wants it he can have it.

The weights mentioned on the H&N site are merely indicative as weights can vary a bit from batch to batch. A fast way to check on the weights is to either buy yourself a jewellers digital pocket scale or visit a jeweller's shop. Weigh 10 pellets at random and the average is your approximate pellet weight.

Webley Venom (when they existed) had three brands of pellets which were nothing more than rebadge jobs.

Webley Venom Lazapell = H&N FTT.
Webley Venom Lazadome = JSB Exact aka Air Arms Field.
Webley Venom Lazapoint = JSB Jmbo aka Air Arms Hunter.

The Lazapells work extremely well in my '80k.

I have a 500 tin of Lazadome in .177. These pellets are even lubricated with some oil I guess ( they are pellets boys not condoms ).

If anyone wants them I'll sent it to Delhi.

I have no use for .177 pellets in India as well. There are about 6 tins in Patna, if any IFG member wants it let me know I'll send it to Delhi, it is mainly H & N Diablo Match and Gamo Pro Magnum.

I'll BUY them... provided they weigh 8.4+ grains...
that would mean each pellet = 540mg + {suitable for my HW-77K venom}
