Fellow IFG members, please advice me is it absolutely necessary for a NRAI Shooter Id if I want to apply for a Rifle under Sports category?

Hi Asif007,
NRAI Shooter ID is required for competing outside your state and it defines which state you represent at Zonal and National Matches etc.
Normally, it is given to those who have participated in at least one District or State Match, as there are those who apply for it solely to get an Arms License. It costs approximately Rs.150 and the application is signed off by your State Rifle Association's President/Secretary and sent to NRAI.
Regards,
Anand

Re: NRAI MEMBERSHIP
At personal level we have been promoting shooting in our distrct. Many students are trained by us and are now representing at state level. Still officialy we do not have any shooting club or district associasion here. We have made an association but that has been denied recognition by state association. What can be done?
