Up here the rules for arms are really strict, only a limited no. Of callibers are allowed,
Moreover of these limited calliber, only a few guns are available as due to ban on import, the import ones cost alot

Oh wow.... All these at so much low prices,
Even if indian govt. Allows arms import With 100% custom duty, even then there would huge lines outside custom office

Last year we gun dealers were served notice by state home department in which 5-6 questions were asked and one question was to tell that to whom all we sold cartridges and where did they use the ammo.

Vineet ji, in Punjab, what kind of legal action can be taken against the person who fails to provide empty cases? As per one of the recent Topics FIR was lodged against few in Lucknow. Please advise.

In Lucknow, when the person failed to provide empty cases police assumed that he has given the cartridges to someone else and registered case against him charging section 29 of Arms Act 1959 which says,

Punishment for knowingly purchasing arms, etc., from unlicensed person or for delivering arms, etc., to person not entitled to possess the same.

Failed to produce empties doesn't mean he has given cartridges to someone else. Sometimes it is not possible to collect each and every case of fired cartridge.

In the video, when the police officer asks that where he spent the cartridges, the man says that he had fired in air during Diwali. This is wrong, firing in air can be dangerous. One should use cartridges for practice at proper place, proper target, away from populated area.
