Gamo Scope 3-9x 40 Damaged

Hi guys ... just joined the forum today.

I needed some info about where I can find genuine air rifle scopes online.. recently got a gamo 3-9x 40 scope from a local dealer here like a week back and just yesterday a ring inside the scope has come loose and damaged the crosshairs. Is there any way to get it repaired here in India.. ?

I am being told the scope is gone and was most probably a replica one...really confused from where to get another one ...Any ideas?

Unfortunately import of scope is restricted in India.
Meaning of "restricted " has various connotations.
You can find scope in some online sellers but how far they are genuine that remain unknown.

You can gamble on ebay ... Ebay.uk ... You will find Niko sterling and similar scopes for around 5 to 6 k if you are lucky you will get it right at the door ..

I did ... I am from Mumbai so may be the location and customs also differ ,

Also check for China scopes .. they are also on ebay and can ship to India and are cheaper also .. if you have less than 12 fpe gun those will work well

For magnum or 15 + fpe you might look for good scope

Niko sterling 3x9-40 I have on Diana 460 magnum and itas holding good so far after 500 shots (you need good mounts with stop pins) ..still breaking in ...

A word of advise, do not buy second hand scopes. you might have a better of chance with a new fake scope.
I purchased a "slightly used good condition" scope from a "Gentleman" here for 6k and in 30 shots glass started coming out of the eyepiece.

Gamo and any other manufacturers doesn't officialy ship riflescopes to India.

True don't buy used scopes you get new ones on eBay and shipped to India you just have to hunt for a seller and it's worth the try ...

Thanks so much guys ... can you all suggest one for Precihole NX100 ... Ive been coming across some information regarding the use of scopes with break barrel rifles that most scopes get damaged due to the recoil of the piston, that being true is it worth getting a PCP and using a scope on that one..?

Nx100 is a 10fpe rifle ... I don't think so she's hard enough to damage the scope but I don't have first hand experience
You can buy any air rifle rated scope and that should be it .Don't worry nx is not going to damage the scope , only precaution you can take is mount the scope after break in like after 500 shots so the gun has a steady recoil
