Actor Salman

Post by sudhakardm » Mon Aug 27, 2007 7:54 pm

Hi all

I did not see a topic on Actor salman's case.

Is court is correct or too liberal. As I know, the imprisonment should be more than this for hunting endangoured animals.

Thx

well we cannot judge anyone but im sure that there is a hugeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee difference between poaching and hunting and i for one would certainly like to see hunting permitted legally in India under conditions that are acceptable.

The media is simply blowing it out of proportion because of his celebrity status.I'm tired of seeing news channels broadcasting nonsense like the actor's cellmate, what he's wearing etc.

I would love to see hunting re-opened in India also.

Hi All,

Was scanning the Mumbai Mid-Day news papers of the 30/8 and on page A06,
there is a photograph of the actor with another, and they are both handling a Diana 52 and what looks like a Theoben Eliminator-both air-guns!!!!!! The photo is captioned "This pic helped put Salman in jail".The article written by Kentan Ranga states that the actor had taken the two rifles a .22 and a .32 bore???????
(most springers are upto .25 caliber only!Above that caliber would require a precharged delivery system.None of those looked like Pre-charged rifles to me!) to Jodhpur for the film shoot!
This is one reporter that needs to get his facts straight!

Are you talking about this photo?

This picture helped put Salman in jail

Taken during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain, it shows the actor and Saif Ali Khan with two guns, used during the poaching incidents
By: Ketan Ranga

A photograph taken during the shooting of the film, Hum Saath Saath Hain, showing Salman Khan and Saif Ali Khan holding a gun each, is just one of the nails in the proverbial coffin that is closing around Salman.

Salman had carried the two rifles — a .32 bore and a .22 bore — that were used to shoot the chinkaras and black bucks on September 26, 28 and October 1, 1998.

Immediately after the hunt, Salman had sent the guns back to Mumbai after the Jodhpur forest department was on his trail. The actor was taken into police custody on October 9 that year and later judicial custody when he confessed that he had, in fact, sent the guns back to Mumbai.

A team from the forest department was then dispatched to retrieve the guns from Mumbai. Said forest officer Shiv Chand Bohra, "The picture taken during the shooting is major evidence in court. Salman had claimed he had no guns and had not hunted the animals. But the picture proves otherwise."

Added advocate Mahipal Bishnoi who is presenting the case on behalf of the Bishnois, "The picture proves Salman owned the guns and had brought them to Jodhpur during the film shoot. It has played a major role in all the three poaching cases and also in the arms case against him."

It stinks like a cover up to avoid culpability of the "local people" who are reputed to have organised the hunt in question - providing vehicles, guns, ammo, guides etc. to the actors...

Cheers!

actually there are other things in the country that deserve more focus than petty things as these.
one can only wonder if the concerned chaps will actually get off their B*)*)* and do some work honestly.

Answer of my email from Ketan Ranga

[email protected]" to me

this were the guns. both have been seen by me in jodhpur, where i was recently.
the picture has been given to be by the forest officials who had taken the guns
in the possesions and both have been cross checked by me and the fores
officials. this guns are not used for hunting animals is known to me. but this
is what Salman possesed and used for hunting according to the forest officials
who had arrested him that time.

please making alleagations
