Right - a top quality conversion then...................................in the standard always to be expected from Indian gunsmithing.
That`s sarcasm - just like the earlier comment by Jonah.

My apologies. Boy, did I get hold of the wrong end of the stick. The warning had nothing to do with sarcasm I now realise, having had the situation explained to me.

Actually CC's fault.. my parenthesis was meant to keep me in the safe side his comments still makes it a bit dicey for me...

Wasn`t anything to do with CC........and your parentheses wouldn`t have helped if what they contained was non-legitimate discussion material however the problem wasn`t what was in the parentheses anyway.

This is for the benefit of all those inhouse skeptics and also for reasons as rightly pointed out by Vikram by PM, I would like to clarify my posts by reluctantly (sounds so boastful to me) mentioning that all the arms and ammunition displayed on this particular post are perfectly legal.
The Winchesters and other bigbores belong to the H'onble Sports Minister of Mizoram. The pistols (9mm and .38 ) belong to his Personal Security Officers (care to guess which of the rest belong to me??)
As it so happens we were testing out an (as yet) unfinished 50m range built by the Tourism department for the Mizoram Rifle Association of which I am a Founder Member and Secretary. The person firing the Winchester on the fourth pic is the Minister himself in person.

Please feel free to ask any more questions

Oh, no, Grumpy, you forgot le fusil Lebel modele 1886. Tubular magazine and pointed bullet, solid gilding metal, ie. high-copper brass since 1898, and all through WWI. That's somebody. Though I will add it's a very fat case with lots of taper, and they added a ring groove in the cartridge base to catch the bullet tip when they went to the Balle "D". Cheers.
