I would have thought this section would have had the most traffic but it's been lying dormant.

So let's kick off with what air-rifles/pistols our members have or have had in the past and your views on the same.

When I was little I started with a brand named "Daisy"

They were the Henry Fords of the 1950's-1970's american BB guns.

Nowadays I have a Sheridan pneumatic (20 cal) a RWS 45 (177) and an RWS 6M 10 meter recoilless pistol.

My Sheridan gets a bit of use suprisingly, I gave an identical model to my oldest son and we take them into the woods somewhat regularly.

hi guy .. hmmm

had a few lets see...

1) 8 yrs old = national .22 break barrel, spring cocking rifle - dad taught me shoot with this one.

2) little older = same one

maintained it well .. hehe

3) TAU Bruno Match CO2 (started competitive shootin with this).

4) Feinwerkbau P34 CA ( won my first medals with this one .. loved it and miss it).

5) Feinwwerkbau P40 ( sequel to the popular P34 but with exposed barrel to reduce weight ... some other modifications but .. moving the barrel ports forward to expose the original enclosed barrel has ruined the pistols charactersitic smooth recoil compensation - it jumps a bit like a morini now .. some people like that if they r used to it ... i dont ...shooting too long with a recoil absorber and compensator .. had to let it go).

6) Steyr LP10 ( finally down to business .. the ever popular and dependable LP10 ... in silver finish / love it and it won a gold at the delhi state championships in its very first competition / its tasted victory - so im sticking with this one

ah my views..

Bought my Feinwerkbau 300s second hand, it could be 15 years old, but shoots really good. Wanted a pistol so picked up a HW 75 , its recoil-less, very accurate.

But I had the most fun with the Daw- the indian model, . Have this one for quite some time now.

looking to get a magnum rifle. Still deciding about Diana 52 or HW 97/77.

Finally got a HW 97K, in 4.5 mm got a Venom DIY kit as well...I am really happy with this gun

Hi Ranjeet,

If you bring the 75 over I would like to have a go with it as I am still undecided whether to go for the 45 or 75 for casual 10 metre paper punching.

You need to add a FWB 65 or 80 to compliment the 300S.

The FWB 300S production started in 1972 and wound up in '83 or '84, which would make your rifle at least 22 years old. This is still my all time favourite 10 metre rifle.

There is nothing to decide between the Diana and HW. It's Weihrauch all the way and a HW77K in particular.

I have one Diana Model 27 .22 Caliber Air Rifle, One Diana .177 Air Gun, One Millita .177 Air Rifle ( This one is very old but still amazaingly accurate. The Stock is damaged and I am planning to build a new one for it) all are springers, open sight

Now I am looking for Co2 powered .177 but unfortunately no dealers in kolkata in position to supply Co2 cylinder

Also try for Walther side lever version if available and comes within my budget

Sure Mack The Knife, Most welcome to have a go with the HW 75. I like this pistol quite a bit. I looked at 45 as well, the shop keeper sold me the 75:)

Yes my 300s could be over 25 years old...I have no idea when it was made..

well, about Diana 52 or HW 75, I kind of have a soft thing for Diana, always wanted a diana ever since I was 15. But I quite agree with your choice of HWs..so I am still undecided..

And Did you buy all your guns in India??, You seem to have a great collection...
