Hello again folks,
I have an All India License , 3 weapons. I have shifted base temporarily from my home town where the licence is issued to kolkata.i am carrying only one weapon I. E the pistol. Do I need to inform the local police or anything like that?

You have to transfer the licence to the jurisdiction of the District Magistrate/ Commissioner of Police . You have to fill out a form and produce the weapon/weapons for inspection. The weapon(s) left behind have to be deposited or given on retainer ship to a valid arms licence holder.
