Refurbishing old air rifle
Hi I’m new to this whole forums thing but I have a old air rifle that I got from my neighbor. He shot salt threw it and it stopped firing. It still can hold a pump but doesn’t fire any pellets. I took it apart to see what the problem is and I looks like air is escaping from some part. Also when you fire it, it has a little smoke cloud and smells like something is burning. This is my first time trying to fix a air rifle this old and I’m out of ideas. Can you guys help?

Hi Bpodner,
You need to open up the AR first. If you are lucky changing the seals would help but you need to check out the threads for disassembly of AR.
