Apply with tooth pik and wait for 15 min and try again to loosen it.

Was that threaded properly while you opened the battery well ?

Oh no. Try to clamp a appropriate size spanner to the cap head and torque it slightly that may help .

Ya sure

Added in 1 hour 22 minutes 38 seconds:
Guys I was able to open it, I was frustrated and out of option, I used the paper clutter in the joint where it shoud rotate, like in the bottle of meds to cut open the cap. There was some "tik" sound and then its easily opening without any force.
Shame lots of marks left while forcing it to open on the top of the cap.
But surprisingly its now opening easily.

I have the same problem with my scope cover just like in this trail of posts. I picked this particular post since my challenge with removing the top cap is due to wrong or misplaced treading. Some one at factory has tilted the cap slightly while closing it.
Can you please Sathvic, let me know if you had any specific solution if the cap was treaded incorrectly.
By the way my scope I bought it from Krishna sales Corp Delhi. Its a Gamo 3-9x40EG scope.
