Re: Adjusting Rifle Scope on Air-gun
Dear Bullo okay,
Barrel droop is not only a physical look of barrel pointing downwards but it may be a lack in manufacturing design. It is nothing to worry about if you use iron sights as both the sights are mounted on barrel itself.
But the problem arises when we use scope which is mounted on rear end of compression cylinder. In this case the line of sight of scope remain straight but the line of pellet path remain much below and it never coincide.
Remedy-You have to raise the rear ring of your mounts by using shims.Shim is a thin sheet of paper, metal etc.
I used a thin visiting card in my Gennex as advised by Basu Sir.
Thanks.

As long as shooter can sight target through scope properly, nothing to be concerned about.

Re: Adjusting Rifle Scope on Air-gun
Yesterday I went to the local gunsmith and asked him to help ziro in the scope, he shot some round in standing position at the cold drink cap from around 5mtr and charged me 100/-.
After that went to some open field with my friends but the air gun almost spreading the pellets all around. So, today I tried to zero in myself.
With a tiny single audience.
It was my first time, used lots of pellets, distance was around 15-17 yards. On a paper target self printed on A4 size paper..
I was close, need some more adjustment.

Re: Adjusting Rifle Scope on Air-gun
Dear Bullo Oka,
Hope you are using the right technique while sighting in your scope.Even though giving some points which are important in sighting in a scope.
1-Check all the screws of both gun and scope. They should be snug and remain in position.
2-Always bench rest your gun while sighting in to minimize the human errors.
3-Don't rest your gun directly on pillow or sand bag.
4-Try to shoot at least 5 pellets without making any change in elevation and Windage. Then again change as per need and shoot at least 5 pellets.Try to bring the group in bullseye slowly.
5-Never be hasty hurried, take time and be relaxed then shoot.
6-Try to keep your open palm under the forearm of gun in the same place every time so is with cheek on cheek piece.
7-Use BEST QUALITY PELLETS otherwise all your effort will be in vain.
All the best.
Thanks
SHOOT LESS BUT SHOOT CLASS.
Added in 21 minutes 7 seconds:
First try to sight in at 10m then 15m then 18m in this way it will be easier to sight in at desired distance.

Dear target point I thought that using the pillow for front rest will be more stability, now I have to remove it.targetpoint wrote:Dear Bullo Oka,

These are the pellets currently I have in stock.vast wrote:Which pellets u used
First I used Coal starter wadcutter diabolo 6.94grain (pellet's looks very cheap) then I changed the pellet and used G smith & co High Split 8.9 grain.
***BTW how much that G smith & co Jumbo Impact cost, I bought it in curiosity for 1000/- (from a gun dealer)

Re: Adjusting Rifle Scope on Air-gun
Hi,
You need to zero your rifle first at about 3 meters for the left and right adjustment. Then get it to shoot an inch low at ten meters. Then you will have the 17 or 18 m dead on. Anyway, it is difficult to zero a springer. Too many things jumping around. Ensure that your scope is mounted in a way that it doesn't move with every shot. Scopes creep back with every shot unless fixed right.
P.S. Use wadcutters or the flat heads for target shooting. 13 grains seems too heavy for an Indian springer.

To ride, to speak up, to shoot straight.
