Airsoft DOES NOT come under .177.
If it's .177 you're after, they are called "airguns".
Airsoft uses 6mm plastic BB balls.
.177 airguns use 4.5mm metal BBs & pellets.
So such a thing as "airsoft Co2 .177" does not exist.
What you looking for is "airgun Co2 .177".
You may read about the differences in detail over here.

Re: Importing airguns into India
I am thinking of buying an PCP air rifle
EITHER Benjamin Maraunder) which fires 0.177 pellets OR SIG Sauer MCX CO2 air rifle
AND
Umarex M712 Full-Auto CO2 BB Pistol OR UMAREX Legends Blowback P08 CO2 Pistol Kit, Full Metal
So an air rifle and a Co2 pistol
I did read read some threads here but got more confused than clear.
Any suggestions?

Dear <amlame1984, for importing BB guns or any air rifle of 0.177 calibre you need to have membership of rifle association. This sort of ensures that people who are hobbyist end up buying indian products or the ones already in india

Re: Importing airguns into India
Dear vishnu i have come across that ubuy site and researched it and none of the reviews were positive rather they all claim it to be scam and fraud, even if they get ur product the shipping and custom duty are payable by u additionally which may spike the price of the product into twice or thrice, plus if the product is seized by the customs means its all Ur own responsiblity, so its better to be stay away from that websiteVishnu2017 wrote:Dear IFG Ian's any one bought imported Air Rifles from "ubuy.co.in" , ?, If any one previous experience with this seller plz post . Re: Importing airguns into India
Well I got a CP 88 walther , from Frankfurt .Air India Officials made a Noise My Bag was not sent back to Delhi, After three days the bag Did arrives with the pistol case checked in my luggage. It took me a day with customs To clarify to the officials that it wasn't a firearm. Finally they charged me 100% duty and i came home with it. It was not good experience but worth the try.
