I just read in another thread about you getting the IHP Compressed Air Pistol.. do you have any feedback about it, is it a good starter air pistol for getting into 10m target shooting?

Yes, I purchased it directly from their factory. You can do the same by dropping them an e-mail at ihpnrd [at] indianhumepipe [dot] com , the total cost including filling adapter, soft case and shipping to Delhi was ₹13,000/-.

It is a very decent and affordable air-pistol to start out in 10m air pistol shooting competitions. It will be some time before you outgrow this one and need to move up to an imported Morini / Styer air pistol (which are substantially more expensive). I had purchased it for my niece, who is starting to learn air pistol shooting.

That said, once you cross a certain threshold, you should consider making the investment in one of the top end air pistols. Your coach should be able to guide you when the time comes.

I was able to place an order for the air pistol, they are responsive to emails and calls, though delivery may take some time..so they seem to be in business..

Become a member of your local air rifle club , ideally affiliated to the state / district rifle association and import the Crosman 1377C.
Once you get your membership let me know and I will put you in touch with the right people and places in the US.
Don't worry about after sales service / warranty coz nothing will go wrong with it.
You can use GSmith/Mastershot/Dianashot pellets with it. They all group well with my C1377.
You can try mine if you happen to be in Mumbai. Till then go over this.

Hi AC,
You were right about IHP ceasing their operations for air rifles and pistol manufacturing.. I may be one of the last few customers who got the Compressed Air Pistol, I haven't tested it as yet, since I'm out of the country..Hopefully it doesn't give me any problems as after sales support may be a challenge now

I had earlier posted a thread on upcoming Precihole product.viewtopic.php?f=2&t=26416.Later ,I mailed them and got a reply that they will be soon launching their PCP match pistol.I presume ,the launch of HPA hand pump was to aid their upcoming match pistol.
