Cartridges
While cleaning up my Gun Room came across old cartridges, some from the guns that i have possessed in my life time. (i have been a real gun nut ) My son couldn't resist lining them up and taking a picture with his cell phone.

Re: Cartridges
You Sir seem to have been fond of 'Shikaar' once.. A few tales would surely entertain us all... Is that a 577 Nitro Ex on the far right? What all beasts did its parent bring down in the past?

Re: Cartridges
Thank you Nitroex. Yes that is a .577 cartridge but the rifle was a beautiful under lever hammered 577BPE by Purdey. A friend of mine wanted me to have a lookover and left it with me. He forgot to take back the cartridges!!. That is a reduced load, nitro for BPE. Yes i have been fond of hunting but that is banned in India so will not be appropriate for me to talk about it. All the other cartridges belong to rifles/Handguns i have possessed. Some are still with me. The 9 x 56 Mannlicher (7th from R) was a favorite, the smoothest bolt action i have ever used. Still regret giving it away.

Re: Cartridges
577 No2 BPE... Felines catch your fancy Sir?
Must have cost a fortune.. I wonder if you still get bpe cartridges easily? Reloader's only gun it would be in India I guess..
That 450 Nitro exp and 9.5x57 MS are other classics in the feline class.. Those English-Austrian rifles were obviously nice to shoot for the money spent in them...
I think there is a separate thread here where past hunts have been shared by many. I hope there must be some clause here that allows people to talk about adventures in the distant past..
