Hmm another marvel from Sdb yet the lowest possible rate.I think it's perfect for even 10m target practice if peep sight installed.
I hope some one will do this soon and post his experience.
They proved it again Basu Da .Thanks them on our behalf..
And congrats to u too.

Re: GenNex- Excellent Choice for New Shooters
Dear All, I got GenNex airrifle four days back with help and support of IfGian Basu . My special thanks to him. The gun came in a wooden box. The rose wood polish on stock is pretty good, so is fit and finish. The blueing is like Appache Se and may be it can be deeper. Thats how I would prefer it. The golden colour trigger adds to charm and over all it appears something like Beeman R 7. I have shot over 1000 pellets now and adjusted the trigger to light position and now it is a just a bit short of Reccord trigger of my HW 57. Accuracy is good making grouping of five shots in 50 paisa coin at my 6 mt home range. what I liked most was soft and smooth cocking coupled with good punch. The wadcutter pellets goes through both side of perfume tin. Overall I feel GenNex is excellent for boys and girls taking up this hobby and not to forget old turtles like me. I will request Basu dear to load images which I have sent to him if possible. Anoop

Believe me when I am carrying GenNex in this cover on the street, it is giving impression of cricket bat only , no suspicion , nothing.
Carrying this gun anywhere , is no more any issue.
Size 6" x 39"

There is something inherently sexy about a wooden stock !! I was betting on a hw50/30 for general club use but this has the potential to settle it along with the precihole club.Only thing to find out is the trigger .

Dear Jatindra,
Having used this gun over 500 shots , I find it quite versatile.
Plinking at 35 yds and paper punching at 11 yds are equally entertaining.
If I am told to make this AR perfect for 10 mts shooting, I would increase its muzzle weight and reduce velocity by 100 fps , nothing else.
The trigger is very unique , as it can be adjusted as per own choice.
It has amazing wood finish. My mobile camera could not capture the real beauty.
True.....It is slim , light weight , curvy and s**y

Dear sa_ali,
The metal finish is quite good but since Anoop has HW57 so in comparison with that it might have fallen short.

Re: GenNex- Excellent Choice for New Shooters
saw one at a local shop must say that the bluing is exceptional and the one with walnut finish on the stock was gorgeous, but was disappointed by the grouchy mechanism and the rough trigger.couldn't help feeling that SDB is faltering between smoking something else and espresso shots.
Its high time they ditch the ugly rear sight & do a copy paste of some good Indian ones.

Re: GenNex- Excellent Choice for New Shooters
Dear Basu you are right. Actually the comparison of blueing was with HW 57 which has much darker blue colour. I compared both GenNex and HW 57 after breaking in of 1000 shots on Gennex in all respect. I found GenNex equally smooth in cocking ( with two third power) and shooting. Today I managed to shoot another hundred shot. Its absolutely fun shooting this rifle. My airrifle does not make any grouchy mechanical noise as experienced by IFGian ganeshn. The trigger is adjustable to own liking of light position. I do agree with ganeshan that front and rear sights can be changed to newer type . People with poor eye sight like me find it difficult to focus using these old type sights.. This problem of focusing is much lesser in HW 57 but still do exist. Hope SDB listens to feed backs. In simplest words GenNex is fun Gun which whole family can shoot and I am loving it. Anoop

Re: GenNex- Excellent Choice for New Shooters
@ Anoop -As long as I was using V type back sight , I had some problem of sighting.
I recently shifted to U type and that allows more light to come ,my aiming has become better.
This sight is made of sheet material yet it holds the zero perfectly.
@Ganeshn- The trigger is the best part of GenNex. The factory setting has always been on the harder side.
Once it is set it as per the need , it is a joy forever.

Re: GenNex- Excellent Choice for New Shooters
The sights are not pretty but once zeroed it holds zero for thousands of shots. Through the course of 8000 shots I have fired through the near 15 fpe Artemis and disassembled and reassembled the gun quite a few times , I have had to re-zero it only twice. And it does allow for some very accurate shooting.Basu wrote: This sight is made of sheet material yet it holds the zero perfectly.
The rear sight blade can be adjusted to v & u type and to allow varying degree of lights as per shooters requirements. I use the narrowest v in the rear sight which helps in shooting at small targets.
