Any change in New Arms Rules 2016?

Hi Guys,
Wondering if there are any updates in New Arms Rules 2016.
A couple of months back almost all online Sellers had taken 0.22 Air Guns off their listing. Also if one showed interest in buying the same; was told selling 0.22 is stopped for now.
Today I was checking 10kya.com and found the 0.22 Air Guns listed again.
Kindly guide me if I should opt in for a 0.22 or 0.177 Air Gun. As I intend to purchase in a couple of weeks.
I wish to use the Air Rifle for plinking fun at my farm.

Yes the sale of 0.22 airifles is suspendeduntil further clarification and/or change is made available on the new arms rules 2016.

I think the new Arms Rule of June'2016 is here to stay, maybe with minor modifications. lets hope and pray they relax rules on AR a wee bit.
