Hi, I recently met a gentleman named Mr. Khosla a chartered accountant by profession who along with his friend is cycling it to Leh...some courage and some stamina. He had done this last year along with his friends on the mobike.

More power to their knees.

There's one chap on Indian Angler who is doing a cycling-cum-fishing trip from the U.K. (I think) to India.

Last I heard, he had reached Tajikistan.

Used to do a fair bit of cycling myself but nothing like these guys. About four or five years back I bought myself a new cycle but try as I might I just couldn't inflate the tyres enough to hold my weight.

Must have been faulty tyres....

Back in '86 when ragging had finally eased off and we had become second year students, a friend of mine, Sandeep, brought his moped (TVS Spark) to college. One night, he and another friend Shvetank (6'2" and built like brick shithouse) decided to go for a ride to our on campus restaurant - Kamaths. The road was all downhill from the hostel block to Kamath and Sandeep opened the throttle all the way and away they went. Unfortunately for Sandeep, he had forgotten about that nice big speedbreaker near Kamaths and when they landed that spark promptly broke in two.

P.S.: What's this "u and moi" business? Compared to you I'm like Charles Atlas.

The chassis actually broke?
