My new IHP pneumatic single stroke air rifle

Post by milind » Sun Dec 04, 2016 12:22 pm

Hello friends,

I just purchased IHP pneumatic single stroke to add variety in my collection. It's my first .177 gun and I am happy with its accuracy. It came with nice wooden box with gun Grove inside the box. Though wooden part of the gun is less attractive but it's accuracy is great. I am using flat head first time so I have no idea which one fits & shoots better in this gun. Posting some of the photos of gun and first grouping (distance 10m, bench rested sitting). My target paper tore with just five shots (as its made using A4 sheet) but I could get its impression on rear wall.

This is side lever gun but cocking is done by pulling the bolt knob back. Technical specifications are as below.
Total length : 1050 mm
Barrel length :650 mm, 400mm rifled
Weight : 3.3 kg
Caliber: 0.177"
Loading : via bolt, directly into breech
Velocity : 500 FPS

Love
Milind

Dear Milind,
This is a very accurate AR.
It will shoot hole in hole with suitable pellets.
Pl.do not expect power ever.
What about cocking effort ? Is it easy ?

Dear Basu,
Yes, it's very accurate indeed. Cooking effort is surprisingly lesser than all the springer break barrel AR that I have. Even I have noticed from the shapes of pallets striking against the wall that it's lesser than other springer model.
I wanted it as a variety in collection. My next aim is to have pcp, waiting for Precihole to launch it in January.

One more thing, it's trigger is very sensitive (or I must be used to with springer trigger) and gets released with lesser effort. Is it alright?

@Veerbhadra the gun cost me little less than 10k and no waiting period. It's peep sight variation could cost 13k.

That's great. Nice to see our options are getting better.

Congratulations Milind
it looks like Air Arms S200 model, except the air reservoir. The trigger pressure is adjustable & is it 2 stage? Can the trigger shoe be adjusted laterally or up n down?

No explanation regarding adjustment of trigger pressure in the catalog but trigger shoe can be adjusted up down and slightly front n back also. (I have adjusted it as per my convenience, but you need to separate the assembly from the stock for this)

Trigger is single release only. 2 stage could have added additional feature in this gun.

9500 was the cost I have paid. You can visit the official website of indianhumepipe for the cost of other model of guns which are sold directly by company to the end user.
