IHP model 35 trigger issue

Post by sa_ali » Fri Dec 02, 2016 3:07 pm

I had tunned my IHP model 35 with Jim maccari spring about 4 yrs back. Off late it is giving issue that when i am cocking and closing it, it is firing on its own. I spoke to another guru as per him, it is the trigger spring issue, it is gone weak.

If you already know that it is the trigger spring , why don't you change it and be done with it ? But there has been this issue with my guns many times and I find that most of the time it is either incorrect mating angle between sears or the sears have worn out. Trigger springs don't go weak that easily I believe.

:agree: with sam47.
However harder trigger spring may solve the issue.

KoviBazaar spring is one of the softest & best trigger spring I have ever had. By adjusting the length of spring and angle of trigger contact you can get a very nice trigger. I hope it solves the problem & best of luck.

Auto fire can be because of the two reasons mentioned. It's hard to diagnose without photos. When you tuned your gun a couple of years back, did you happen to file the sears for an easy trigger pull?
