My 'Advocate-On-Record in Supreme Court' friend is going through the old and new acts & rules, and also the petition. We just printed the 350 pages and it will take 2-3 hours.
Will keep you all updated.

It's like a post that was on a public portal the other day:
Dawood bomb blast karke bhaag gaya,
Mallaya 9000 crore leke bhaag gaya,
Aur police kisko pakarta hai ...?
Jo helmet bina bike chalata hai ...!

Hey Guys, the only rule the Mumbai Police seems to be following as per the new Arms Act Gazette is the RENEWAL FEES. They have started charging Rs. 500/ per year for each firearm. As for ammo quota increase, ALL INDIA License and other stuff promised for sports shooters in the new Gazette, They conveniently shrug sholders and say that they have not been notified yet.
YEH MERA INDIA............

Come on fellas, its not all that bad. Say what if you apply for a regular Arms license for your AR, okay?? You are absolutely in your right and hence get it and have your AR endorsed, correct? Now wait for a few months or lets say a year or so and swap it with a regular fire arm. You already have a fire arm license, so all that you've got to do is obtain sale permission and acquire purchase period to buy a another regular rifle/shotgun. VOILA......

Exactly what I thought at first! But then it occurred to me that they should be ready and willing to give you a license for an already owned .22 AR - knowing how it works here I bet it will be a real challenge to obtain one

Dear Marksman,
If we keep looking out for silver lining on black clouds then very soon even this silver line will vanish and we shall be surrounded with an overcast sky. My belief is to fight for our rights than looking out for loopholes.
But then it's how I think and I respect your thoughts on this matter.
Thanks'

This is the last I read on the subject. So all folks with pending applications have to reapply I suppose.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Rahul ji, it is your humbleness reflecting in your comments. Real fielding is being done by you and your friend, the Advocate On Record in Supreme Court.
