I shot 1" groups at 50yd open sight prone yesterday with my Hurricane. Will post details & pics on another thread hopefully. Power is around 15fpe as calculated by drop at 50ft, 40yd, 50yd & 60yd. Trigger was hard initially but new trigger is extremely good - perfect single stage breaking. I bought it directly from manufacturer 2-3 months back. Cost me ₹8000 + postage.

I had queried him a couple of days back about the .177 variant. He replied that it takes minimum 1 month to make it ready for sale.It was still under production.

Why the .22? Given the prevalent legal winds in India, .177 makes a better choice...sniperbala wrote:today i got AAMAR HURRICANE MOD 16
.22 CAL
After a lot of experimentation on my older gun I would say that .177 caliber seems to be a better choice in Indian guns due to the low power limits - it will create a flatter trajectory and lesser drift due to the higher speeds achieved. Ballistically, thinner longer rounds of same weight have better trajectories and penetration than larger caliber rounds of same weights. Larger calibers have better terminal ballistic performance while slimmer rounds tend to have superior exterior ballistics.
I heard from their sales people few days back saying that their .177 version is ready. I'm not sure what exact changes they have done between my older model and the current one but there was some mention of new piston seals and guides to improve firing cycle smoothness. They quoted 9000+postage, I got mine for 8000+postage last year..himanshu maru wrote:Any word regarding there .177 model?

I got an email saying that they have released their .177 finally. Given that they keep adding improvements in successive batches, it should be somewhat better than my 10 month old gun...Big Daddy wrote:Any update on the latest.?
They have a very cool looking camo version and another which has an integral muzzle break it seems. I liked what I saw but then I have purchased my piece already..
