I was busy shooting Sport AR on Sunday ,then all on a sudden I noticed that the cross hair of my scope was tilted towards left.
My first reaction was that the scope tube shifted its position due to vibration for which this has happened.
Having examined it carefully , it was found that scope tube was perfectly holding its position any the cross hair has shifted from its position .
I was dismayed.
I took the eye piece out by unscrewing and saw the tilted crosshair.
The cross hair was held in its position by a threaded holder.
The cross hair was so thin that I could not pick it by fingers , instead took a blade to take it out from flat surface.
I used Dendrite to stick it with threaded holder and left it for cure for 8 hours.
In the morning I reassembled every thing and shot a few pellet.
The cross hair got tilted again.
This time the threaded holder had shifted from its position not the cross hair.
I glued it with Fevikuik and fired a few shots.
This time , so far it is all okay.
Now the issue is when I see with specs on , the target clarity is less but when shoot with naked eye , its all okay.
The reason I could not understand.
I may be needed to get used to with naked eye now.

You need to get an airgun rated scope for use with springers, otherwise they'll just keep falling apart.

Re: Repairing of my 3-9X40 scope
Thanks indeed mundaire.......
IFgian Harsha advised me to re-set the focus by adjusting the objective lens.
I unscrewed the objective lens cover and then took out the lens by unscrewing the threaded holder, mopped the other side of the lens then put it back.
I pin pointed the setting at 35 yds by rotating the holder , keeping the magnification at 5.
Finally put the cover holder back.
I prefer to keep magnification at 4X.
The clarity is even more better than earlier setting.
Shot some pellets at 55 yds.....bang on target.....
Thanks to Harsha for his advise.

Bsauda be careful with fevikwick(cyano acrylate) as it gives off vapors that fogs lenses even if it does not come in direct physical contact with the glass moreover the shear strength of the bond is low compared to a epoxy, not strong for a springer.
