aimco.co.in does not seem to carry any fixed barrel and kovibazaar has the AK series and the sdb 300
Some learn by reading. A few by observation. The rest of 'em have to pee on the electric fence.

currently side lever is not available in indian market.but under lever was freely available. Both are fixed barrel only. These rifles of indian variants were considered a failure, as they are tap loaders and the quality and perfection was not up to the international standard, hence there is a lot of scope for problems that cant be cured easily.Hence technically we have limited choice in indian market.
With regards,

You may import .177 AR duty free if you have rifle club affiliation. Do it while you still can.

Have you considered Hatsan Galatian?

It is a bolt-action PCP and relatively very high powered. Not sure if it will pass the deal wood test.

Since it is a high powered rifle will it break bottles at 25m? I've also heard that it is very noisy. Can this rifle be used for target practice at rifle club.

That depends on the sturdiness of the particular bottles and for the latter part: ask your club!

For indian made under lever you can check AK550. review of ak500 and 550 are good on youtube (not sure if i'm allowed to post youtube links here so you'll just have to search for indian air rifle on youtube). Although ak500 is fake under lever (faux barrel), it will give you rough idea of ak550 as ak550 is better than ak500 anyway. As for availability, it is available on huligun (i have not bought this particular model but i bought couple air pistols from there and experience was nice). there is one more under lever indian air rifle manufactured by GD sports as well. not sure where to get this though.

Dear aka1296,
For competition and target practice ,you need to have AR in 0.177 caliber.
Under lever will be a little too heavy.
To my knowledge there are three ARs which are very good for competition and target practice.
1) Precihole Club Elite - Best AR of Precihole stable, deadly accurate.
2) IHP National 25 ,quite accurate but temperamental.
3) SDB Sport in 0.177 low power competition version, can be very accurate , not temperamental.
