Just saw the full size pics.

They have changed the way the V in kniv looks.

Hope it's kosher.

However i fear i will end up giving this blade a micro convex anyways once I sharpen/strop the edge. Not sure if i will be able to maintain the zero scandi. Lets see.
Lucky my ar5e!

Keeping a zero grind isn't difficult but I would definitely recommend stropping it.

The reshaped V is part of their rebranding I guess.

Mack, how does the sandvik compare to their carbon steel? In terms of edge retention and resharpening. Also have you found the SS edge to roll easily?

Oops...missed that big (revised) logo of theirs.

I stopped using their stainless versions some time back but as I recall, their stainless blades are just as good as their carbon steel blades in terms of edge retention and sharpening. I think the carbon steel blades required just a tiny bit less effort to sharpen.

I have never had any of their edges roll or chip. Then again, I do not abuse them and they do get stropped, thereby ending with a slightly convexed edge.

Incase you do decide to order from knifecenter, get a couple else the knife will be 10-20$ and shipping will be 40$
So better to order a lot of 4 and even out shipping costs to an extent.

Not really my mora, but taking the liberty of sharing the update here. Looks like Mora too has slowly given in to the American obsession of full tang knives
Heres the just released Mora Garberg with a price tag of $110!

To me personally this defeats the ideology of a Mora knife.

I had read about afull tang 'bushie' being in the works, so thanks for the headsup.

Hopefully, the street price should be lower than the quoted $110.00 and $100.00 for the leather and polymer sheath versions, respectively.

It appears to be a decent knife but I wont have any regrets passing on this one. By the way, Mora has been making full tang outdoor knives for quite sometime. So nothing new about this one, except that it is aimed at the more impressionable bushcraft folks. Which probably explains the presence of DC. I wouldn't be surprised to find if he had a monetary interest in this knife.

Says the man who coughed up the extra for the 'bushcraft' version.

What I want is the Mora Classic 2/0. It's been out of stock for sometime.

It is ok when i do it
Besides, just because this one is not in line with the Mora ideology, doesnt mean i wont be getting it anyways

The No.1 laminated steel blank is available at Knife Center. You will have to make a handle and sheath for it. Alternatively, you could buy the carbon steel version.

Received a few goodies last night courtesy of a couple of friends who visited Mora recently.

I had asked them to get Morakniv Classic Nos. 1 and 2/0 but being unfamiliar with Mora knives, they ended up buying a Classic No.1, E. Jonsson with finger guard and a Mora Basic 511.
