Gun Lover's Mecca?

Post by xl_target » Thu Jan 07, 2016 11:05 am

I've never had much of a yen to go to Las Vegas, Nevada.
I don't really care much for gambling and I don't care much for crowds.
However, something that I heard about recently has totally changed my mind.

Come experience the ultimate shooting range in Las Vegas!

From the trenches of World War I all the way to current operations in the Middle East, we have over 350 different weapons systems to choose from. From hand guns and pistols to fully automatic rifles, sub-machine guns to belt-feds and .50 calibers, we have it all here at Battlefield Vegas!
A peek inside the weapons vault– and its all for rent
The NFA gods at Battlefield Vegas updated their vault rack system and posted a few of the images from inside one of the neatest collections of select-fire weaponry open for public use.

When in town for the annual SHOT Show the Guns.com crew has been known to haunt the shooting lines at Battlefield Vegas whose collection boasts some 350 different weapons systems ranging from the one-shot .45 ACP Liberator pistol to a fully operational M-134 Dillon Mini-gun that fires over 4,000 rounds a minute.

Now this is Crazy! Here I was thinking I'm the only one in the world with this incurable 'gun-syndrome'...

The 'economics' implication of a weapons-business this size never fails to confound my wits.. for every commercial 'product' there must exist a 'market' & demand... no wonder the Americans have been a part of every major war in the last century in one form or another!
To every man upon this earth
Death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better
Than facing fearful odds,
For the ashes of his fathers,
And the temples of his Gods.

Ah! A fan of Georges Prosper Remi (Herge)?
I spent many happy hours of my childhood reading most of what he put on paper.

Same here. Someone in the family had an entire collection of his books and quite a few vacations were spent engrossed in them.
