Here they are... While Schrade SCHF9 seems to be beast of a knife, the Gerber BG Ultimate Pro is a do it all type..

Hi ibalajis,
The schf9 comes in 1095 and 8cr13Mov. Which one did you get?

Congratulations! You seem to be building a nice collection. Are you still holding on to Glock field knife?ibalajis wrote:Here they are... While Schrade SCHF9 seems to be beast of a knife, the Gerber BG Ultimate Pro is a do it all type..
Fallkniven A1 is a beast too and looks pretty intimidating to 'non-knife' community.
Need to spend some time with these knives. Will try to post reviews in some time.kshitij wrote:Looked it up, VG10 laminated with 420J

@zombie Yes, I am still holding on to my Glock 78, managed to blunt the tip though (dropped it on the floor)
Now looking for ways to bring the tip back to its original shape

Straighten what is bent. Then salvage the tip by reprofiling on a water stone/carbide stone. Since it is broken and fixed, you wont mind putting it to real use

Re: First two in my collection
You will find the carbide combination stone in any hardware store. They are dirt cheap and will work just fine to get that tip back in shape.
Dont think pull through sharpeners will help. But not sure of this since i have zero experience with pull through sharpeners of any kind...
