Naga daos and more
Hi all,
Here are some blades Ive procured during my Nagaland trip. Its a mix collection of Naga daos,an old spear tip, a strong little axe and Mizo dao. Blades are damn strong and dangerously sharp. But all are without sheaths. Thats a lot of work pending. Would require lot of help and guidance from fellow members subsequently for that. Regards.

Good collection!!!!
IMHO - since these are originals, leave them as they are...only ensure to prevent rust & keep the edge sharp!

Roger sir, I'll do that. But since the shapes are pretty uneven, I required guidance or advice as to how to get sheaths for all these. Wooden sheaths seem like a good option.

Good collection. Just hang them up on a wall for display.

Yup these will look great as wall hangers, but would require a huge showcase for that now. Since I have already laid hands on Naga and Arunachali daos, I am now aiming for Mizo bowies and Burmese swords, also known as Dha. That will add little more substantial weight to my collection, pithched against the likes of foreign heavyweights like Swith n Wesson, Muela, Gerber etc with our dear fellow IFGians. I've got a friend in Tinsuka who'll help me with the Burmese kachin dha. all i now need is someone who an help with the Mizo bowie.

Hard Canvas sheaths are an option as they are more durable than both wood and leather.alameinite wrote:brihacharan wrote:Good collection!!!!
