I am just back from a trek to the Valley of Flowers and Hemkund. It was a four day trek, more grueling as my bones age. please see some of my pics at the links below:

Very beautiful. Never seen any thing like that in my life. I would also love to visit but considering my fitness levels I do not think I can manage a 4 day trek. So will have to enjoy other peoples experiences. Snakes give me the horrors, how close did you get to them to take those wonderful pics??
Thanks for sharing.

Very beautiful indeed, I have visited Hemkund 5 times but the way you see it, it is completely different . Your love for nature shines through .
I hope you were able to visit the Gurudwara and an old temple as well.
Thanks for sharing these photos.

Beautiful pictures lanceman. Looks like many of us IFGians are very good at using the trigger finger for other applications too :)

Please share a trip/route log of your trek as and when possible.

Had the pleasure of reading the blog. Enjoyed the fashionate trekker, but what i liked the most was your blog about your time in Sri Lanka. Felt like i was in the thick of the action. Experiencing it first hand must have really been something else!
Thanks for sharing :)
