Interesting gun platform with NSCN-IM cadre
This pic appeared in the Hindu: http://www.thehindu.com/multimedia/dyna ... 04011g.jpg and was part of a slideshow with the heading "A peek into the Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak-Muivah)"
I have also attached the picture. The slideshow is part of a series of articles in response to the Government of India signing the peace accord with Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak-Muivah).
It was interesting to see what looks like a Glock pistol used with the Roni pistol-carbine conversion kit http://www.caa-il.com/viewCategory.asp?catID=376 . A Cool platform. These guys seems to be very choosy.
I am in no way an expert, but just thinking loud:
*How and why would they use this kind of a costly platform as compared to the mass produced AK's.
*Won't this kind of platform be easily trackable, in terms of origin etc..
*Is this a Chineese copy?
And such similar thougts. Was wondering if others here find this interesting.
And good to know that they signed the peace accord.

This might also be the airsoft version of CAA RONI. Infact the first batch of these kits released for airsoft sales were infact surplus firearm grade units. And they retailed for ~100$.
Must say NSCN has access to some proper weapons. That might be one reason it's mostly our SF operate deep in those areas.

Oh man where did i say the entire weapon is airsoft? That RONI is a kit fixed around a pistol. I was talking only about the kit, & not the pistol fixed inside it. Why would a militia roam around with airsoft?marksman_dd wrote:Nop, it's not airsoft version, it's a real deal,u can see the tip of round in the additional clip on the stock

As i mentioned above, the first batch of these kits had no difference btw AS & firearm versions. You can put any compatible firearm or replica inside it as long as it fits. You shouldn't forget many AS weapons are ditto of its real steel versions, so they all fit & survive as long as the kit holds up to the stresses. The kit sold as firearm grade is an expensive deal.
Put the full auto real steel extended barrel G18 inside a compatible RONI, stick in a 50 round mag & you have a full fledged SMG.
