Thanks guys. It is a labour of love.
Just goes to show our crave for good AR's need not cross the countries borders.
We now have good options in the country and better still, options to raise the bar with a little effort.

SUPERB

IMHO a fine rifle like this really should have fine checkering on pistol grip and fore end and fine cosmetic engraving on other areas of the stock. Then it would become one of a kind.

Thanks GNV.
It's very hard to come by laser carving equipment, especially for curved surfaces. These are usually specialised equipment. IMHO, the chap who did the free hand checkering had done well and by itself looks admirable. And yes, there's always scope for improvement

I had seen in some threads that people are using simple hand tools to do fine checkering on their ARs and IOF 0.22 RF rifles. They are simple and work pretty well. With your team of technicians you can easily get those simple tools made.

Sooperb job the transformation is amazing.
Looks like the same single stage 50 lbs trigger then your hold technique is off the charts.how is the quality of rifling compared to the ones you have used.

Hi Ganeshn,
Absolutely right. It's still single stage but I have worked on the spring and it has a decent creep. Also, I polished the trigger interface and shear. In fact increased the 90 degree angle on the sear to about 92....93 degrees (very marginal). This breaks at around 850 grams. Also registered 4.5 vibration on the Richter scale using an android app. Two things I couldn't do was 1) introduce a safety 2) trigger blade. Will work on the second at a later stage.

Dear Big Daddy,
This is the manifestation of your hidden desire coupled with high aesthetic sense.
It is indeed superb in all senses.
The checkering on grip is outstanding and you are lucky to have this guy by your side.
The machinist did a wonderful job too, particularly while re-crowing the muzzle.

I am terribly shocked and saddened having seen the internals of an air gun whose performance is based on mechanical energy transfer.
It did not change at all since the time I got my SDB some two years back.

I am amazed by trigger pull and finally the accuracy....... this is too much for and Indian Kolkata made gun.
A vibe of 4.5 on richter , is nice enough to give you consistent accuracy.
Hope when the spring beds well into the new setup , its performance will be even more pleasing.
I am very keen to know its energy with various pellets.
In view to you feel about velocity , I guess it should deliver 11+ fpe any day.

You have fired many imported guns who are of a different league.
Your comment about feel is worthy for me.

Basu
Not all those wander , are lost...............

Thanks Briha ji,
Yes, it was a pleasure and a torture. Torture in the sense, the lady of the house got to her breaking point when my entier attention was with the SDB :D ... and I mean it.
I am sure 20 m will be easy. The thought of 50 metres makes me drool. Would really like to try her to her limits. Got to find the time. For now the lady of the house has my time ROTFL

Its workmanship and dedication like this which drives us ,I am nuts on your rifle ! I wonder how a customer has the drive fit for a manufacturer and how a manufacturers in our country are driven by nothing !! The day manufacturers have 50 % of the passion you have ,we will give the Germans a run for their money !

Nice work BD. especially the Stock and the Muzzle break looks wonderful.
Some learn by reading. A few by observation. The rest of 'em have to pee on the electric fence.
