Today in Mumbai, TOI I saw this ad and thought of sharing with the forum

The title is a bit misleading. Its old wine available in an additional wine shop. Though it'll be interesting to know whether the ones sold through dealers will have a 5 year no sale clause. That might be the only noticeable change, and the higher dealer markup of course.

thats true, dealers are charging an an exorbitant amount. Same add. was in the Indian Express, Ahmedabad edition.

I do not think it will have a 5 year clause if bought from a dealer because it is similar to a .22 revolver that has been available at IOF as well as dealers. In that case also if you buy from IOF it has a 5 year 'No sale' clause. But if you bought it from a dealer it did not have that clause. But then dealers were overcharging about Rs 10,000 to 15,000 on the sale of the revolver.
I also over paid about Rs 12,000 to avoid the hassle of booking then going to Kolkata to collect the gun, taking NOC, TL and at least one night stay there. I decided it was worth paying the extra amount and just walk into the dealer's showroom and walk out with your gun in 15 min.
