Hi Prashant,

Well done, guess it is a thankless task.

good read.
Nothing much to add as I have been following the story in person with prashantsingh.
Kudos to the supporters. A big kick in the rear to the armchair conservationist hypocrite liars.
You want more gun control? Use both hands!

Dehradun, June 8
A leopard attacked a seer in the forest area of Raiwala near Rajaji National Park on Sunday evening. Rishi Baba was meditating when the beast attacked him. He was taken to Jolly Grant Hospital, near Rishikesh, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The body has been sent for an autopsy.
Another one in the making.Lets see how forest department will take this case.

Prashant zaheer and others the more I read more I admire your deed and humbleness in getting the man eater and sticking with conservation ideals. I saw FRI eons ago and it's a must see for all

Sorry . logged on after a number of days. Raiwala cantt came up in the late 60s. After the war with China. It was carved out from forest land . Have a classmate posted there as a senior army officer. surrounded by villages which have come up over the years .Every year a death or two take place. The dept does not declare the animal a maneater. Most deaths are within or very close to the Park. Here the animals get the benefit of doubt.....and rightly so. Last year a girl was killed.

I would like to add here. That neither my team nor I get pleasure out of hunting these magnificent beasts . It is a dirty job I choose to do. To save human lives and to save innocent leopards from victimization.
As for the FRI maneater. All attacks have stopped . Putting an end to all critics. Leopards are still being spotted in the campus . The relocated male has caused no harm to human life till date .The estate manager is now a good friend. Called me up to show me a set of photos of leopards on the campus which the camera traps have recorded. Unfortunately , I have not had the time to visit him.
