Recently I started doing 'pranayaam' for 5-10 mins before shooting. I wrote down my shooting routine on a piece of paper and stuck it up on my computer table. I also wrote down the Sequence Of Steps as taught by hvj1 sir and stuck it up beside the other one. It helps me to remind all that I have to do. From yesterday I started to maintain an record book for recording my shots. Got this idea by reading some books and reading some forums. Also,is maintaining a shooter's journal necessary at this stage? If yes,then what are the things that are to be noted on it?

Did you change your pellets? Nevertheless, these groupings look good to me. Attached are mine shot at the range today...

forum image hosting Nope. I didnt change the pellets. They are the same GECOs that I've been using. These were today's groupings. I'll be going to the range tomorrow and post the pics. Any analysis? The last grouping of yours looks impressive!

The first grouping looks great Soham.. Also, as you asked before, it is a good idea to maintain a journal to record everything if you want to take the sport as your career. This was told by my coach at the range.

Thanks! Can you give me a format to write in the journal? What are the things I should record? Currently my journal has a record of all the 3 10-shot groupings I shoot everyday,the days number,the date, along with the rifle,pellets used and range. I am planning to add the type of holding I'm using to this journal. Anything more? A sample format would be very helpful!

Participated in the 1st West Bengal Open Air Weapon Shooting Championship held at Howrah Rifle Club from 2nd July -5th July. Represented Team NCRC(North Calcutta Rifle Club).
Won 4 Medals(3 Silvers;1 Gold)
1st Silver was in 10m Open Sight Air Rifle Men
2nd Silver was in 10m Open Sight Air Rifle Junior Men
3rd Silver was in 10m Open Sight Air Rifle Junior Men Team
Gold was in 10m Open Sight Air Rifle Men Team
