Hi all

I have a query. I enrolled as a life member in a rifle club in Delhi around 20 yrs back. Dont have any docs or the exact name of the club. Target shooting sessions used to be held on the ridge road in a paramilitary camp, just bext to Springdales school. Can anybody pinpoint as to which club it was and where it's functioning now.

I live in Delhi. Can someone tell me good rifle clubs in Delhi,where I can easily get membership? This Saturday I will visit some of the clubs in South delhi. If anyone from you gentlemen Is a member, can you give me suggestions?

I just receive an email from DSRA with this message

Dear Sir,

This is with reference to your query regarding membership of Delhi State Rifle Association, we wish to inform you that you that you would need to fill up and complete the formalities of submitting supporting documents, recommendation from existing members and attestation etc which are mentioned in detail on the membership form of DSRA after which you would be called for an interview based on which your membership would be decided.

The membership forms can be collected and submitted at D-77, Panchsheel Enclave, New Delhi between 10 am to 1pm or between 5 pm to 8 pm.

Now what is the need for interview, I am not looking for a job there? What will they ask in interview and on what basis will they decide the membership?

Hi Kanwar,

You are talking about what I recollect was called the Birla rifle club behind the CRPF camp at the ridge. It was run well by a few home guards. It is non-functional now and I met Mr.Kapoor some years ago at the Tuglukabad range a few years ago. He said that it has ceased to function some twenty five or so years back.

After all these years my membership has finally come through, albeit only the 5 year one!

Sa_ali, i'm not sure if signatures of a temp member work, but happy to sign if they do.
