The QC suggestion might help in future, if they choose to implement it.
However, what now with the damaged pellets the customers have with them and the unsold ones in the stores (online & gun stores)?

There is one full unopened packet with me, which am not willing to open.
The first pack had a lot of pellets that I had wasted initially and then started picking up the good ones only and reserved a few for reference and the count crossed about 50 to 60 pellets excluding the ones I had thrown away initially, thinking they are minority.
Now the 50 to 60 among 200 pellet pack is like 25% to 30%, not a small number to ignore, especially considering the premium price of the Precipell Pellet.

There would definitely be more people around, who would have come across & affected by these low quality & unusable pellet packs.
The Precihole/ Precipell company should come up with some kind of reconciliation process, to ensure the customer satisfaction part is taken care of, before they loose the market.
They should be ready to do a recall of the specific batch from the market if it has affected only certain batches as they claim to be, they can easily recycle them, but the poor customers have no choice but to throw them away, which causes both economical and environmental issues.
Also they can think of recalling the pellets from customers, who have raised the concerns already, and give complimentary packs of pellets as a good gesture to retain the confidence of its customers.

Precihole have accepted the fact that quite a number of their .22 pellet batches have serious quality issues. Recalling a batch of pellets would be the last thing on their mind. I doubt if they have taken corrective action already with the pellets in production. For now those who have bought the defective precipel pellets are stuck with it.

Deformed Pellets
Finding deformed pellets (even reputed international brands) in a pack of 220 / 500 is nothing new....
See below an extract....
MOST HELPFUL CUSTOMER REVIEWS
GAMO PBA Platinum Pellets .177 Caliber Pellets (100 Count Blister Pack)
www.amazon.com › ... › Airsoft Pellets & Ammunition › Pellets

Customer Comments:
I found these way more accurate than any other GAMO pellets I tried (Hunter, Match, Magnum, Master, Red Fire)
My bone collector air rifle is much louder shooting these than any of the other pellets, taken out many pests with these.
I intend to try the GAMO Raptors to see if they compare.
Rating it a 4 due to the fact that about 5 of the 50 I bought were faulty - molded wrong or bent etc.

Brihaji this is still only 10% they have complaint about (am not defending the producers).
In my case, I have noticed much more of them being affected.
All of the pellets are loose on the rifle breech, that was my primary concern and when tried with a different batch of Precipell pellets, that the technician used, it was snug fit on my AR.
So that is a 100% impact with incorrect/ inconsistent dimensions across batches, to start with.
Now coming to the damaged and deformed pellets, there were 30% of them that were out of shape and unusable in my pack.
Thats not coming in the margin customers can ignore.
If the previous customer gave 4/5 in his case, our situation is much worse and cant even give a full 1/5, will have to go less than that, to be frank.

The precihole team must think of recall as their first option itself, not the last, if they wish to sustain in the market.

Please see the attached pics, so much for the QC of an international brand. Not to mention it sells at 700/tin... ImageImage

I would suggest sticking to jsb among the international brands. Gamo makes a ton of fancy pellets, having used most of their crap i have come to the conclusion that they are the gerbers of the pellet world. All show and no go.

Agree, I only wanted to give it a try because of the recent discounts being offered. Otherwise, I am sticking with my R10 and JSBs.

@ibalajis - This, for sure looks bad, but how many affected pellets were there like this in the pack?
Was this counted among the total count of pellets or was just an extra metal piece that made in to the box?

Adding my recent personal experience........

I recently purchased a couple of boxes, each, of 0.22 roundhead and 0.177 flathead Precipells from Kovibazar. Now, I didn't inspect each and every pellet through a jewellers' loupe and a micrometer, but till now I have to come across any deformed pellet (shot maybe 100 from the first box of each calibre). The 0.22s fit my 1st generation Orion nicely, just as earlier batches of Precipells used to. The 0.177s are used with an almost-centenarian (1920s) BSA Model 3. I normally use a pellet seater (aka Reynolds ball pen cap) for the Orion, and have yet to come across any pellet which is impossible to seat, or is too loose.
Cheers!

@arvind, I opened only one tin and found only one of it. And my experience with Precipell (both .177 and .22) has thus far been smooth. Not a single bad pellet came my way from the tin of 2 (one in each caliber).
