Hello all members,

now a days when you arrive at GSF cossipore to collect ashani pistol, they offer you 2 choices
1 is same old cromed on by GSF and 2nd is the black painted ashani by rfi ishapore. Are there some quality diffrences. all knoweledgeble members are requested to shed some light on this topic, thank you.

I think the model is the same . Only the difference is the black colour pistol is manufactured at RFI and chrome plated ar GSF.

What is the difference in terms of finish and life of powder coating and bluing.
Also is it worth removing the powder coating, or for that matter, the chrome plating for bluing (DIY, cold or rust) on a new pistol?

Dear ckkalyan .The models which you haev posted are not from Rfi and Gsf .They are modified pistols.Please share if any photo available of original black pistol issued by Rfi , Kolkata.

Aadhaulya powder coating stays longer.worst i feel is chrome plated iof.
does not do anything with the performance of the guns.

Dr. JK, now I am unable to make up my mind. I intend buying 3 pistols (for my wife and daughter as well, hopefully). I had planned on one black and one chrome and the third one a chrome and blue the slide on top.
Suggestions required to help make up my mind.
