TC thanks for scanning and posting great article..timmy great find ..Reminds me of how Indian army sold surplus 7.62 and 303 Lee Enfield rifles and their Centurion tanks to some external arm dealers. The rifles showed up to their Chargin and embarrassment with Mujahidins in Afghanistan as CIA bought them. These rifles even US amry is finding are more deadly than AK. The Centurion tanks South Africans picked up and unleashed them on Angolans

TC, besides being interesting from a number of perspectives, this article that you posted also has the information that I need to identify whether my rifle is a Type A, B, or C. None of the information I found on line was clear about this matter, so this is very helpful! Thank you again!

That's precisely the reason why I wanted to put up this article. For example, I was under the impression that the spike bayonet that I have from the Sepoy Mutiny era would fit your rifle and I even wrote a post earlier stating this with confidence. I was wrong. The two are from different series. Please try and get hold of the year book if you can. The other articles are worth preserving. And please don't thank me... I will become a worse influence in that case

I have not troubled my son to take anymore pictures, yet. I'm going to try.
I do have a picture or two I need to take and share that is a surprise, however.
We are moving and things are a bit hectic, though. I will try to apply myself.

So sorry to have bothered you with my childish restlessness.
Please take your time and settle down before taking us through the next phase of this journey.
We will all wait patiently because this is not a project to be handled on the go or in a hurry

I will do it, TC. It may be slow, but it's coming.
For my surprise, Moin and Essdee will like it, too!
