How to shoot a '10', The Sequence of Steps (SOS)
Hello Friends,
As discussed before, I plan to launch a website, which will make it easier for novices to pick up the nuances of air pistol shooting. Here is the first video - How to Shoot a '10' - Sequence of Steps (SOS).
Please feel free to comment, all criticism will be taken constructively,in fact will be most welcomed in order to improve video quality.
Having said that, my brief dabble with film (video) making has bestowed upon me the realisation of what film makers have to go through. And so, I doff my hat in respect to the Greats - Shyam Benegal, Ray, Scorsese, et all.

Excellent!
The only criticism that I can make is that there was an echo in the classroom section.
At times, I had to concentrate to make out what you were saying.

Hi,
Great film. Like the device of constructing the ten in the first part. Just needs one more person to focus the camera from behind you. Also a slight edit when you move to the target and all that. Nothing wrong with what you have, just makes it slicker.
And at the expense of being obvious, what an amazing hold you have.
Thank you for taking so much trouble.
Regards,
Dev

Thanks XL, presently it is difficult to control background sounds, but will definitely bear it in mind for future lessons.xl_target wrote:Excellent!

Dev, you are most welcome to Satara, Old Chap! My wife was helping me out, but I lost my temper on her for one shot, the result- she handed me the camera and walked off in a huff, I did get to eat that day ,but the smile was absent. That's what you get with bonded labor nowadays.dev wrote:Hi,

Also would love to make it slicker, but I deliberately left the moving in between part ( camera and target) otherwise there is always the risk of the viewer thinking I switched the target.

like the bit about follow thorough which most seem to miss out, the blank card, should show front and the back as well.

Re: How to shoot a '10', The Sequence of Steps (SOS)
One of the best instructional step by step video on 10M Pistol shooting that I have seen so far. Thanks a lot Guruji for taking the pain and creating such awesome video for peoples like us.
On the video part , I would suggest few minor points , purely on the aesthetic purpose.
1. Camera should be mounted on tripod to avoid any unnecessary shaking
2. if Echo can be reduced a little during classroom session (as mentioned by xl_target)
3. I don't recommend editing the part while changing your Target in live fire scene. A Continuous shot looks more authentic to peoples who doesn't know you and hopefully prevent them from posting negative comments such as fake or edited shot in youtube

Sir,
Thanks a lot for the instructions, there are not many videos that show the sequence and steps of pistol shooting. While other members can tell you how to shoot the video better, I am just glad you are telling us how to shoot the pistol better!!
Regards,
Anand
