To repeat myself, I only mentioned that whatever passes the dealwood test is legal in India. Now people can sit and guess that their 14fpe or even 40fpe guns will pass this test, but such advice cannot be given unless the someone has verfied this limit.kshitij wrote:You can legally keep any air gun, imported or locally made, as long as it passes the deal wood test. Generally all guns under the 12fpe limit should pass this without worry. So yes, go ahead and get what you want.
Also, i recommended the 12fpe limit as atleast precihole has forensically ascertained that this power will pass the deal wood test and is legal to own in India.
No one is interested in following the british laws or living under their shadow and it is best to not make such assumptions.
Now unless some one is ready to document, prove and get it certified that air rifles beyond 12fpe will pass the test and remain legal in India, I would prefer sticking to the proven 12fpe limit on the forum. Would not prefer taking peoples guess as my criteria to assume a safe legal limit.
And as far as the assumption that people on the forum are not using a crony, it couldn't be further from the truth! Whether we would want to share these details on a public forum is altogether another issue
What i CAN share with you is, I have used a crony with my preci and it shoots 15.89 grain JSB exacts at 600 odd fps. So go ahead and do the math.
