Re: .30 pistol
Very interesting pistol. Don't think any one in the West is aware of the TT33 ever being manufactured in Chechoslovakia; at least I can't find any mention of it in the literature. And it certainly does not appear to be a Darra copy. To a collector of TT33s it would be priceless. Cheers.

Not made in CZECK but YUGOSLAVIA, the CZ known as the "CRVENA ZASTAVA " model-M57 which was adopted 1957 by the CZ is a straight forward copy of the soviet Tokorev TT pistol the M57 is a 9 rounds compared to the TT which is 8 rounds, The M57 pistol is short recoil operated, locked breech pistol that uses the browning type action with swinging link, trigger is of single action type, but the pistol has no manual safeties fitted from the CZ co except for the half cock notch on the hammer, the mag is single stack, sight is fixed the weight is- 900 gms/ length is-200 mm / barrel is - 116 mm. very effective hand gun. The norinco company of china is exporting a large number of TTs to America where this TT has become very popular. earlier this TT was popular only in the communist countries only

Dr Yadav
So Colt is a family heirloom more the reason to hang on to it. Do post the pictures. I personally prefer revolvers over pistols. It should have decent range with 3 inch barallel. Take care
Cheers

"Cezka Zbrojovka Narodni Podnik, Strakonice" on the pistol's slide. Now why would the Yugoslavs (Serbs)put a Czech factory name and address on a pistol made by them??? They are usually proud enough of their guns to mark them as their own. Cheers.

HK,
While in service an officer does not need to have a lic to apply for and be issued a NSP fire arm.
The voucher issued from the COD,Jabalpur contains the particulars of the fire arm and the officer.
When the officer decides to get a lic, usually most do it while in service, the voucher issued is the document on the basis of which the NSP fire arm is endorsed on his lic.

Badshah again we learn something new everyday, i have not heard Walther P99 in caliber you mentioned. AFAIK they are made in 9MM and 40S&W while S&W 99 was also offered in 45ACP. these calibers are not even mentioned on their websites so it is little strange. on 1st May i was at my farm and a friend of a friend bring a local made copy of CZ100 which he bought new for 35000/. it was polymer made and so well built that i cannot recognize it, all markings were perfect and very well written. we had put 200 rounds of norinco make and it never hicupped, accuracy was in so called combat grade making 3" to 5" groups at 25 yards. check that whether those walthers are of same breed,
thanks & regards

You're doing the correct thing. I would not, under any circumstances trade a Colt Cobra for a TT.Dr Narendra Yadav wrote:Thanks every one i will keep the revolver Badshah thanks for the pics ,ngrewal the barrel is 3 1/2 inc of my revolver rest is same,it was bought by my father in 1972 in Rs6400 i still have the bill and only fired 14rounds.
Once again thanks every one.

Dr Narendra
There is no comparison between the two.
One is a rather rare semi-custom revolver made when Colt was doing some of their best work and the other is a stamped metal piece of communist mass production with all that entails, especially in the fit and finish department.
