can i import knives with blade length not more than 10 inches from cabelas and what is the custom duty on knives .

According to penpusher, it is legal to import a knife whose blade is not longer than 9" and whose width does not exceed 2".
The duty is supposedly 35%. I cannot confirm this figure as I have never imported a knife via post or courier.
Someone I know in Bombay has imported Buck knives from Cabelas, so getting them to send it to you shouldn't be a problem, unless they have changed their policies regarding exporting knives to India.
