Newest addition to my little collection

Post by Ilarum » Wed Dec 24, 2014 12:43 am

Wanted to share snaps of the latest knives which have been added to my collection.
The Esee Izula and the Kabar Short were amazing, as expected.
However, the condor bushcraft knife was the unexpected surprise.

Those are 3 very good choices, nice knives!

Nice knives, i had the kabar short and the izula... Do a cord wrap on the handle, makes the izula more comfortable to use.

Cool knives mate!

I have the Becker BK14, which is very similar to the Izula (it seems to be a collaboration between the Izula and the Becker Necker).

Although a new shipment is on the way, I have started drooling again......!! The Condor bushcraft looks lovely!
Cheers!

@Rrahulkumar-Thank you :)

@Mark-Thank you, love all the three knives.

@Moin bhai-Thank you..
The Kabar Short and the Izula are really good knives,they came shaving sharp out of the box
However, I didnt imagine that the Izula would be the size of an SAK..
About the cord wrap, I was hoping if I could ask anyone from IFG to order a pair of micarta scales for me if they are ordering stuff for themselves..

@essdee1972-Thank you Sir,
You may want to call me a bad friend for having been more excited to see my knives than my foreign returned friends ;)
The condor bushcraft knife is one heck of a knife.
Walnut handle, thick blade and a very sturdy leather sheath.
A Becker trailing point short knife is on the wishlist..

@Brihaji- Thank you very much Sir!
Encouragement from like minded people is what drives folks like me to build our collection.

A big thank you to all the senior IFG members for inspiring me to add such awesome pieces to my collection.

Try making wooden scales. All you need is a piece of hard wood about 1/2" thick and slightly bigger than the knife handle. And a rasp (ask any hardware store for wood file), sandpapers, drill to make the holes in the wood for the bolts, bolts (pref screw head) to hold the scales to the handle.

I made a pair of nice handle scales, but unfortunately I tried to rivet them with brass rod, and totally destroyed the scles. Fortunately the BK24 is tough enough!

I do the same to my uncles and cousins, so "we are on the same boat brother"! :twisted:
Cheers!

@essdee1972- I am afraid I dont want to take a risk with a brand new knife Sir, that is why I prefer ready made handles.
But thanks a lot for your words of encouragement, hopefully I will try out something soon.

@TC-Thank you Sir, all the three are beautifully tough knives.
I am glad I got them.
