Awesome guys! Based on the details provided, I reached out to Senthil today. It seems he is heading out to Pune tomorrow and wanted me to call him after 20th this month. Keeping my fingers crossed.

While I asked for the membership, he mentioned that it may not be there, but wanted me to come for 1 day coaching around month-end.

Been to SDAT today and got the briefing from Mr. Senthil. Having come to the range traveling 30+kms and seeing the facility, I did not want to leave without trying my hands on a rifle.

Senthil was a bit reluctant and kept saying I should try it after the formal camp else, I might give up if things don't show up good. But I was determined. So got hold of a Precihole NX100 and Goutham (senior shooter) explained the nuances of the game. Having used only my .22 AR, the Precihole felt damn light and much easy to load. Trigger was light and overall I was allowed to try 4 pellets. This black circle on the target sheet looked like bhindhi at 10m He showed me another target card that is half the size of this.

Senthil said that this is a good beginning and with proper training, I can do well. Camp date is going to be announced by Monday and Senthil would let me know the date. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Is there any age limit to join this facility?I am 58 now and want to pursue my passion of my teen years.

There is no age limit pksnathan. I think we need to attend the camp in the upcoming week and start taking up the coaching. They arrange for the guns if you dont have them already. I placed my order last week and it is likely to get shipped next week.

Are there any updates on this? This seems to be a nice option and further information on this would help. Saw in another post that SDAT has moved to Nehru stadium in Chennai but limited to students below 19 years.
