AMUR FALCONS
Nagaland managed to script a success story in conserving these migratory birds with the cooperation of locals and the state forest department. The initiative won accolades from the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP)'s Convention on the Migratory Species and Animals this year.
Nagaland Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation Trust (NWBCT) said its 'Friends of the Amur Falcon' program is in its third year and will continue its education program through its eco-clubs. :cheering: :cheering: :cheering:
The Amur Falcon is a small raptor of the falcon family. It breeds in south-eastern Siberia and Northern China before migrating in large flocks across India and over the Arabian Sea to winter in Southern Africa.
Scientific name: Falco Amurensis
